PELATIHAN MENDELEY UNTUK MAHASISWA MANAJEMEN

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi di era digital saat ini semakin cepat dan juga mempengaruhi dunia pendidikan. Hal ini juga mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan aplikasi yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan keterampilan digital, khususnya dalam menulis karya ilmiah. Dalam dunia akademik, karya ilmiah saat ini menjadi bagian dari persyaratan dan bahkan kewajiban, sehingga juga mewajibkan mahasiswa untuk mengikuti perkembangannya. Meningkatnya prevalensi plagiarisme di dunia akademik juga menjadi momok bagi mahasiswa, khususnya bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir, disini sampelnya terdiri dari mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Oleh karena itu, perlu dipersiapkan sejak awal bagaimana mempersiapkan prosedur literasi dengan baik dan benar menggunakan aplikasi program agar nantinya mahasiswa dapat membuat referensi manajemen yang baik. Metode yang diterapkan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan mitra, yaitu mahasiswa, khususnya semester 6 dan 8, akan diperkenalkan dengan penerapan program Mendeley dalam produksi sitasi artikel ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua pertemuan daring. Kegiatan pertama dari pertemuan daring adalah memberikan penjelasan materi tentang fungsi program Mendeley Office, fungsi alat   dalam program Mendeley Office, dan pendampingan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Mendeley Office dalam pembuatan karya ilmiah. Pada pertemuan kedua, bantuan tindak lanjut diberikan untuk penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley dan konfirmasi dalam pembuatan karya ilmiah menggunakan aplikasi desktop Mendeley.

The development of information technology in the current digital era is accelerating and also affects the world of education. This also affects students' ability to use applications related to digital skill development, especially in writing scientific papers. In the academic world, scientific work is currently part of the requirements and even obligations, so it also requires students to follow its development. The increasing prevalence of plagiarism in the academic world is also a scourge for students, especially for final year students, here the sample consists of final year students. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare from the beginning how to prepare literacy procedures properly and correctly using program applications so that later students can make good management references. The method applied in this community service with partners, namely students, especially semesters 6 and 8, will be introduced with the application of the Mendeley program in the production of citations of scientific articles. This service activity was carried out in two online meetings. The first activity of the online meeting was to provide an explanation of material about the function of the Mendeley Office program, the function of the tool in the Mendeley Office program, and student assistance in using the Mendeley Office in making scientific papers. At the second meeting, follow-up assistance was provided for the use of the Mendeley application and confirmation in the creation of scientific papers using the Mendeley desktop application.
